Overview
The 'Microsoft MCE' tab was removed from our configuration.
Description of Change
Better support of MCE remotes and others
Our legacy 'Microsoft MCE' input handler has been removed.
Obviously any Microsoft MCE remotes and devices are still supported out-of-the-box through our HID input handler.
Our HID input handler is enabled by default on new installation so that the widest range of remotes, gamepads and input devices is supported out-of-the-box.
Users upgrading an installations using the now withdrawn 'Microsfot MCE' input handler will also have that HID input handler enabled instead.
Known issues
- Older versions of Auto3D plug-in and Shortcut'er plug-in are known to disturb our HID input handler. Please make sure you are using the latest version of those plug-in.
- Windows registry corruption can result in malfunctioning HID. We suspect Kodi MCE remote add-on is responsible for that.
- TV power and mute buttons have known issues in 1.13. This should be fixed in 1.14.
