SoundGraph display for iMON Manager

Tip We recommend you use iMON Manager version is 8.12.1202 or above. Earlier versions of MediaPortal provided a MiniDisplay driver for iMON display using iMON Manager 7.x.

SoundGraph VFD/LCD are by far the most popular MiniDisplay hardware available. MediaPortal 1.8.0 will support those by interfacing with iMON Manager Display API.

iMON Display includes:

  • Origen AE VF310 (VFD)
  • Silverstone MFP51 (LCD)
  • iMON VFD

MiniDisplay configuration

You can now setup a customized Idle time out (s). It was previously hard coded to 10 seconds.

Scroll delay (ms) is now decoupled from Update (ms) frequency. This was needed to run our frequency visualizer at a decent frame rate without text scrolling going out of control.

  • Scroll delay (ms)  - The number of milliseconds between each scroll operation.
  • Idle timeout (s) -  The number of seconds after which MediaPortal goes to idle mode if there was no user interaction.
  • Update (ms) - The number of milliseconds between each display update. It defines the frame rate you want to run. Some displays are known not to support high frame rates so if you are having issues try using a value higher than 300 ms. If you are using a frequency visualizer or EQ you may want to have this set to 33 ms or 66 ms for a more appealing result.

A new display type was added: SoundGraph display for iMON Manager >= 8.01.0419
