MEDIAPORTAL - free media center

Hey guys and gals,

Thanks for your hard work. I was pretty exciting about installing RC2. However, I ran into so many problems, I am now reverting back to RC1:

- I cannot get ANY plugin to work (TV-series, TV Gemist...)
- MP crashes when using any other skin than BlueTwo (even BlueTwo Wide causes a crash)
- Very tricky getting my information back in (like all my movie thumbnails and data, which the install program of RC2 so nicely deleted)

I never had much problems with RC1. With RC2 I cannot get anything to work :(

2. cant confirm that

i did a CLEAN INSTALLATION

now i:
-can use TV-Series
-can use community skins such as xface

not sure why it fails for you, but its definitly not a generall MP issue. :)

3. I am in the same boat

And by doing a clean install everything is lost.
Upgrading from RC1 to RC2 was extremely painful for me. I lost all my recordings (permanently deleted, and don't mention backing them up, as if I had the space). I lost my settings and spent ages locating and re-adding files to get my remote mappings and other settings correct.

BUT, this is a great product, it is free and it is BETA so a thank you to everyone. But boy I would suggest work is done on an upgrade process that moves settings forward.

I won't be upgrading again for awhile.
