1. why to buy ?
Sorry folks,
why do I need an extra codec when it is included in FFDshow ? Or is it a matter of quality ?

1. CoreAVC vs FFDshow
CoreAVC is significantly faster than FFdshow with H264/X264 content. I can display 1080p content on my AMD 5200+ w/ onboard video with CoreAVC. If I attempt the same with FFDshow it'll drop about 50% of the frames.

2. Fast but compromising
CoreAVC is currently the fastest software h264 decoder, but the picture quality is slightly worse than ffdshow or PowerDVD.
