Description:

This is the MyPrograms plugin, which were included in the official package for some time.

It is able to run external programs and contains special features to handle emulators.

There are no changes for this plugin. It's only a standalone plugin now.

from Dingle - how do actually set this thing up!?

from JoeMalik - Works wih RC1. I use it to turn power sockets on and off via command line. Has some glitches, but is really nice anyway.

from orencha - Does NOT work with the latest RC4. Skin files are not installed for the default Blue3 skins (tweak: copy the files from Blue2 dirs). Additionally, the programs are not launched at all from MP (they do launch however from the "launch" button in Configuration). I used "My Programs" successfully in the past with MAME, but it became useless... :-(

from userjan - Make sure you change the view to "files" (by default it's on manufactor, that might couse no files are visable) Got it up and running in RC4 I use it to launch, emulators, IE favorits and some normal windows programs. With "RemoteKC" to control the launched programs from your remote.

from luke16 - Doesn't seem to work in MP1. Even when the view is changed to files, selecting the plugin causes the MP display to freeze and it has to be restarted to work again.

from craige1 - Works in MP 1.0. Just install it for the blue 2 skins, then copy the myprogram.xml file into the root directory of the skin file you use :).

from customized - So awesome! Add in a shortcut for Hulu Desktop (newly available) and you're in business. I had to make two changes, put the myprograms.xml (just search for it in the top skins folder) into your current/all skins directories, and set Media Portal so that it's not "Always On Top". HULU HULU HULU (just so people find this). That Hulu desktop makes the HTPC a cable killer! Just canceled cable this week.

from f09556 - No, it does not work with 1.0.1. Just as the case is with other plugins it can not generate file-/directory lists

from Lardy - Thank you. I got this working in MP 1.0.2 by copy the myprogram.xml file to skin folder as mentioned above.

from galliano - My Programs 1.0.0.0 with MediaPortal 1.1.0 RC1 not working. After Installation and configuration when I try to launch the application from MP I get an empty MP Blue screen, no other image.
