RC1 SVN builds started

on 25-04-2008

The first package of our - now weekly build - SVN snapshots for RC1 has just been uploaded!
We are well on track for a RC2 release coming soon. As our roadmap reveals many RC1 related issues have been fixed already.

Important note for SVN users
Due to a fix for mantis issue #1259 you're now allowed to specify the name of the TV-Server database.

This offers some nice possibilities:
- Keep e.g. RC1's database safe as "TVLibrary" while testing SVN with the new default ("MpTvDbRC1")
- Use two independent TV-Servers which share your central database server.

Your DB setup can easily be changed by calling SetupTv with parameter "--configure-db" or "-c" (Maybe create a shortcut for that).

Of course you can simply continue to use your RC1 database by choosing "TVLibrary" as schema name. Have fun testing the most recent bugfixes!

Has anyone addressed VISTA 64 issues? I would love to use this but can't. I have a Videomate T300.

4. SVN 19010 works

I have been trying to get MP working for months with my rig. Finally got Media Portal working with RC1 and SVN 19010.

Channel buttons on remote not working.
Picture quality is not smooth on motion in cartoons. Get geometric shapes.
Timeshift navigation needs to be smoother and fix video lag.
Get 2 channels working (record one, watch other)

5. |Daemon Tools

I can't seem to find Daemon Tools in the config and am not able to mount image files. Any help would be much appreciated. :)

6. Cache

My Media Portal RC1 SVN don't make the skin cache file on media portal directory or in the documents and settingsappdata.... directory. Can anyone help??? Despite this wonderful work, thanks!
