TV Recordings Plugin for MediaPortal


 The "TV Recordings" plugin is a GUI for managing manual recordings. It aims to be more convenient
replacement for the manual recordings functionality which is part of the "My TV" GUI.

Installation

•     Make sure that the MediaPortal is installed and your TV card is configured properly
•     Double-click the MPI-file and let the installer guide you through the installation
•     Start MediaPortal-Configuration. Enable the plugin by "Plugins -> TV Recordings".
•     Optional: Configure TV Server and/or TV Scheduler using "Plugins -> TV Recordings -> Configuration"
•     Run MediaPortal

Notes

•     Giving a scheduled recording a title is only usefuly if there is no EPG data available for the channel. Otherwise the title is derived from the EPG automatically.
•     Enable the PowerScheduler plugin (Configuration -> Plugins -> PowerScheduler) in order to let your machine to be sent to sleep or waked up according to your scheduled recordings. After scheduling a recording you have to switch to the main menu in order to tell PowerScheduler to sent the machine to sleep. You must not hibernate/standby the machine manually!
•     TV Recordings supports TV Logos which you might download from http://www.team-mediaportal.com/files/Download/MediaPortalInstaller(MPI)/TVLogos/
•     In order to use "TV3" (TV Engine): Download and install a nightly version and the client plugin. Make sure that MediaPortal is working with this version. Enable it via the TV Recordings plugin configuration dialog.
•     In order to use "TV Scheduler" (http://forum.team-mediaportal.com/development-91/rule-based-tvscheduler-service-26158/): Download Version 1.0.15, and copy the "TvScheduler.*.dll" from the Service console to MediaPortal's Plugins/Windows/ directory. Enable it via the TV Recordings plugin configuration dialog.
•     In order to support another translation, you have to add a file language/tvrecordings/strings_[language].xml containing the text snippets. Have a look at language/tvrecordings/strings_en.xml for an example.
•    Use http://forum.team-mediaportal.com/plugins-47/announcement-tv-recordings-v0-2-a-33525/ for comments, suggestions and other feedback.
