Autostart Download

Description:

Process Plugin that autostarts Fullscreen TV after MediaPortal started. Instead of TV it also can autostart: Music, Radio, Video, CD/DVD, Picture Slideshow, My Weather or the EPG.

ATTENTION: jake78 + myself did stop to maintain the autostart plugin. Anybody who wants to take it on is welcome. The sources can be found here. Why did we stop? ... Because we found something much better: check out MCE Replacement Plugin!!

This is the Plugin formerly known as "MyBackgroundTV". It was created ingeniously by Smirnuff (who decided to retire) then perfected by AllenConquest (who preferred to go selling health stuff). The plugin stopped to work with RC2. I made it work again and renamed it to "Autostart".

 

Update Information:

I have a Co-Author now: jake78 (in reality I am the Co-Author as he did the work). Together we fixed the "recorder busy" error. And besides from some more media to autostart there is a very important new function now: "Start on resume". Now Fullscreen TV also get's started after the PC woke up from Standby or Hibernate.

 

Prerequisite:

Minimum: MediaPortal 0.2 RC2

 

Installation:

Put the plugin (the file "autostart.dll") to ...mediaportalpluginsprocess

 

Customization:

Activate the plugin in Mediaportal Setup - Plugins. In the Configuration Menu you can select to autostart:

- TV (with or without "fullscreen" option)
- Music
- Radio
- Video
- CD/DVD
- Picture Slideshow
- My Weather
- EPG

Each autostart type has it's own Sub-Dialogue to select from.

"Delay (seconds)" is the time the plugin waits after MP's start in the homescreen before it does it's work.

If no channel is selected for TV the last used channel is taken.

If "Start on resume" is ticked Autostart does it's work as well after the PC woke up from standby.
