This is an off-line MediaPortal tool (GetOzTvGuide.vbs) for updating its TV Guide for Australia.
Unlike many other MediaPortal TV Guide solutions, this utility requires
minimal additional resources to be installed (it is written in VBscript
which is native to Windows machines) and does not require users to register with TV guide sources for information.
You need to unzip the contents of the "release" directory and update the GetOzTvGuide.csv configuration file according to your location and preferences (refer to comments in the GetOzTvGuide.csv configuration file for details of this). To keep everything within MediaPortal cohesive, I recommend unzipping the "release" files into MediaPortal's XMLTV directory.
V1.5
Uses a configuration file, GetOzTvGuide.csv, to define user location and preferences instead of requiring users to modify the script (some people have an aversion to modifying scripts). The included sample configuration file is extensively commented and SHOULD provide you with enough information to set up your configuration file correctly.
Allows XMLTV Display Names to be translated, not just Channel Names.
Provides a configurable parameter to close the IE status window if the XMLTV Guide is generated successfully.
V1.3
Alas, JROBBO's XMLTV guides are no more :-( The plugin/script has been modified to use OzTivo's XMLTV guides.
V1.2
Updated to support JROBBO's new/recommended XMLTV TV Guides (//www.jrobbo.com/xmltv/). User Guide has also been updated regarding this and includes an optional section on configuring the script to support DVB WebScheduler's EPG.
V1.1
Now uses JROBBO mirror site if www.jrobbo.com access fails (this is chiefly a BigPond issue).
