Media Transcoder Download

Description:

Media Transcoder is a plugin built as an alternative to the "Compress" function in "My Recordings". Media Transcoder supports sources from TVE2 and MyVideos, and can compress many different filetypes into a multitude of formats using your choice of ffmpeg or mencoder as your engine.

 

0.9 RC3 Changelogs:

- add DVD Rip support (use mplayer to rip dvd)
- fix transcoding scheduler when you post task (scedule the job next day at good time)
- Fix ffmpeg 2 pass mode (the second pass is never call in previous version)
- add diffrent video container
- add quantizer setting for FFmpeg

- add 7 default profile for non expert ;-) (includinf PSP and IPOD)
- update ffmpeg and mencoder binairies
- save first pass log file in 'transcodelogs'
- can specify one output folder by profile

INSTALL:

Remove the previous folder transcode (with old profile - not compatible with new version and this version contains standard profile). Extract the version in MP root folder

from Redfish - Compressing works really nice, as does the scheduler. The only problem I have with recorded TV shows is that after recoding them to, for instance avi, MP doesn't recognize them as recordings anymore and I can't play the files in Mediaportal if I leave the recodes in the original directory.
