Installation
- Download the plugin from the above link and unrar it into your Mediaportal folder. The Mediaportal folder is generally located at C:\Program Files\Team Mediaportal\Mediaportal. You must configure the plugin before you can begin using it. See the next sections for an explanation of the configuration options.
General Configuration
Visible Name
Enter the name you want shown in the MediaPortal menu.
Setup
Grabber: Choose which grabber you have installed and want to use. If your grabber will be either SABnzbd or alt.binz, pick it from the drop down list. If you plan to use another grabber choose other. See the notes for SABnzbd and alt.binz before continuing.
Path: If you chose SABnzbd or alt.binz, navigate to the folder that contains SABnzbd.exe or altbinz.exe. If you chose 'other' navigate to the folder that your grabber will monitor for NZB files.
Options
Auto-Update/Update Delay: This option should only be enabled if you chose SABnzbd or alt.binz as your grabber. Check the Auto-Update box if you want the plugin to automatically begin updating and displaying the status of your grabber each time you enter the plugin. If you decide not to enable this, you'll have to manually start updating each time you enter. Enter the delay between update queries in the Update Delay textbox. The recommended value is 3.
Server Requires Authorization/Username/Password: Check this box if you chose SABnzbd as your grabber and it requires a username/password to be entered in order to access it. If checked, enter the username and password that is required to log in.
Address/Port: If you chose SABnzbd as your grabber, enter the address and port it is set to accept connections on. If you installed SABnzbd on the same computer you have MediaPortal on and you didn't change the IP then your address should be 127.0.0.1 and the port should be 8080.
Site Configuration
Each site can be enabled or disabled by checking or unchecking the box beside it. The same applies for the individual feeds in each section.
Newzbin
Username/Password: Enter your Newzbin username and password.
Post ID: This option only applies if you are using SABnzbd. Check this box if you want the plugin to submit the Post ID number to SABnzbd instead of downloading the NZB itself. This will allow SABnzbd to put your downloads in specified folders depending on the post's category. See the SABnzbd notes for more information.
