Supported TV Cards

  • MediaPortal 1:

  • To get a card working inside MediaPortal 1 it is required to add/code specific support for this card.

  • You can find a list of natively supported TV-Cards below.
  • ATTENTION: MediaPortal 1 does NOT SUPPORT DVB-S2. Only the TV-Server does.

    • Analog Hardware Encoding

    • Analog Software Encoding

      • Note: Even though SW-encoding analogcards are working in theroy, this setup is not supported by the Team MediaPortal.

  • MediaPortal - TV-Server:

    • The MediaPortal TV-Server virtualy supports "every TV-Card". It also detects your TV-Card automatically.

    • There are however a few special features which are only supportd by some TV-Cards.
