The changelog grow to big? You just want the major changes? Here they are:

MyTV:

  • "No signal" message does not disturb your TV sessions any longer
  • Lowered zapping delay almost down to the driver's capabilities
  • A new "Mini-EPG" has been mapped to the "OK" button which is very nice for zapping. You can also switch channel groups quickly with the "left/right" buttons
  • Zap to last channel now uses "0" button
  • EPG for channels which share the same frequency can now be merged
MyDVD:
  • "DVD menu" button directly jumps to DVD playback now
  • Navigator issues fixed

MyMusic:

  • MyMusic has better Various Artist handling
  • Audio player supports fast forward
  • Inbuilt support for CD importing

Plugins:

  • MyWeather plugin has been polished
  • Every plugin can be disabled now
  • TV movie (german guide data) direct DB support
  • Cutting plugin for dvr-ms and mpeg (even via remote)

General:

  • The brandnew, high quality MPV/MPA codecs are included now. Although not using HW-Acceleration they often achieve amazing results while de-interlacing fast movement scenes. Being rock stable these should be your defaults if any problem occurs.

  • Green Button can be used to switch between "Home" and "Basic Home"

  • Almost every part supports multi-language now
  • Change skin and language "on the fly"
  • Added Support for maaaany TV cards
  • Hundreds of bugfixes for stability and speed

I like very much the program, but i have a problem with the TV. Sometimes the image and the sound is frozen, then it continues normally.

This is great! MP is best program! But...is there a way to only update my MP? And what would do the new version with "my settings"?

just deinstall RC4, and install the release. MP will keep your settings.

Lowered zapping delay almost down to the driver's capabilities?

I just reinstalled the recommended 02. installation with the clean patch.
Using bda drivers WinFast DTV zaps in less than a second.
You'll see how long MP will take. :-(

I doubt that I'm the only one having problems, but the 0.2 release does NOT work on either of my 2 HTPC's. I currently use 0.1.3, which works, but when I un-install and then install v0.2, I get the following problems:

1. MP does not see any video capture cards, even though the older version did. I have a LifeView FlyVideo card and a Prolink PlayTV card - neither work. Both have new WDM drivers.
2. I cannot play video. If I click on a video file, the hard drive does something, then the menu just waits for me to do something else. Maybe a VMR9 issue or something. Funny thing tho, all my other media players (like media player classic) work perfectly fine using VMR9 to play movies.
Both my HTPCs are 1.7GHz Celeron with onboard graphics and sound. I have had numerous other issues with v0.2. Doesn't anyone else have problems?

Toby, please use the forum for questions like that. For a first glance I would say: SW encoding TV cards and onBoard graphics are your problem. See supported card list directly to the right on this page. onBoard graphics: often no real VMR9 and DX9.

You guys are the best, I have installed 0.2 version and at least the following problems where solved:

- slow start up. it is very fast now!!
- DTS playback of DVD finally works!!

I am running media portal on my family pc, so I have no results on the stability of TV watching, but this version looks great so far!!

Once again great work

Hi,

First starters,
I like the program, (for me) it came with a magazine. There are more than one issues, but the mce-skin works best. Accept the turnoff buton.
It's a very inpressive program. And I can't update because I don't have an internetconnection. So, I try to update it. And the webbrowser doesn't work at all. But it could be, that I'm not good ad computers. Time will tell.
Thanks for righting the program.

Is it possible to download the manual as a PDF-file?

And where?

Thanks for your time and have a nice day!!!
