We are preparing the final changes for the release of MediaPortal 1.0 RC1.
With this release we will make some fundamental changes.

It now contains MediaPortal 1.0 RC1, TV-Server 1.0 RC1 and the first version of our brand new DeployTool.

With this tool you are able to install every type of MediaPortal and/or TV-Server enviroment with just a few mouse clicks.

Automatic svn-builds have been suspended to ensure that they won't break current 0.2.3.0 installations. Once RC1 has been released the svn-builds will continue shortly after it with improved way of installing them.

Once we release MediaPortal and TV-Server 1.0 RC1, the svn builds will require these to be installed.

More details about the exciting RC1 release will be part of the release news next week.

Sounds very well, thanks to all the developers for such a great piece of software! When it's done, inform the German c't (computer magazine, www.heise.de) about it, I'm sure they will test MP and write a nice article!

Thanks for all the hard work on the new TV server. The features it has blows away others (like M$ MCE). Lets hope it is stable, easy to install and the picture quality is good.

If that happens MP is going to be market leader!

Not a big user of MediaPortal, but a big fan since long. I now have an "old" PC acting as a small Media Center to watch some videos on my TV, so I think it will be a great occasion to contribute with a well deserved donation to the project !

A little post to let people know whats going on wouldnt take too much effort, would it? This is one of the reason why I dislike MP and went else where for my media centre software, poor communication. Still I'm looking forward to seeing what they have done with this release.

49. tv server 1.0 installed???

I don't use the tv server at all, but just about everything else. I don't even have a capture card in the PC. So will I have to have the TV Server 1.0 installed to install SVN's?
