Nightly builds moved to forum
Written by admin, on 04-04-2007

So as a new release is not that far away we need more direct feedback for the 'Nightly Builds '. To achieve that we moved the snapshots to the forum. They are build nightly as before (or if something important changed even during daytime) but now a new thread is generated for each one including the download link.

Here you can discuss or comment this particular snapshot, describe whats not working or just prove with others that your problem is not just related to your local installation. You can use the forum-RSS-feed function to get a notice when theres a new build posted for MediaPortal or the TVEngine3.

Please remember that this threads should not replace the detailed bugreports so please write one if you are sure that you found a new bug. Thanks!

1. SVN Changelog
is it possible to mention the SVN changes separate, in the TVENGINE svn change log allways are the changes to mediaportal.

You have MP and TVE3 snapshots included in this feedback forum, so... may be a stable TVE3 release is coming with the new MP stable release?

Is there any chance that Nvidia Dual TV tuner card will be supported in the new TVE3 release?

First thing first, why question things here? There's a forum that is mentioned to those things...

It's a great function to be able to comment every SVN since you can track the bugs/problems in a more easier way. I'm glad that you all work with MP!

Because all my efforts in the forums over the past six weeks have gone completely ignored.....why question here, because I'm desperate for some answers....

7. Feature freeze time?
I was just thinking since we're getting close to a release would it be a good idea to put a freeze on adding new features so that the current code can be tweaked and solidified without throwing extra “variables” in to the mix.

Unless of course these are bug fix type features e.g adding an option to the TVE3 setup form that lets you, say change compression quality of Hauppauge cards etc

Don’t get me wrong I’m always chomping at the bit to see the latest features listed in the SVN change log but yeah just a thought.

This is fine, BUT....

I am currently on SVN 12656, which works, but if I try to update to a current version, then I get a MyVideo db error (so cant upgrade). Therefore, I decided to upgrade version-by-version until I can identify which SVN causes the problem. However, the new SVN system does not go beack very far. Why don't you provide all SVN since 0.2.2?

I did as you did and trekked back through the svn's to identify the exact svn and so file changes that broke scanning for one of the transponders in my location. Took ages, posted my findings, but it hasn't been looked at (logs have zero views), so unsure why creating another new bug forum would help?

Where can I get older svns than the ones on the forum page for the tv-server nighly builds? The oldest in there is 03-28.

I got problems scanning channels on Thor 2/3 and the transponders gets No signal. Another user mentioned on the forum that the build for 03-03 worked for him so I want to download it and test if it works.
