Basic Home Editor BGN HD

The editor is a stand-alone program that lets you customize your basic home. You can change position and picture of every button and saves your layout for further editing.

At the bottom of the editor screen you can choose your skin path using the Select Skin Path button. The editor automatically selects the skin folder if you installed Mediaportal in the default location. If not you can choose the appropriate skin folder.

For every button you have these commands:

• Load - You can load your preferred picture. The editor automatically scales the picture the the optimal size. You can see the result in the associated picture field.
• Save Focus - You can save the focused image of the button (when the button is highlighed)
• Save Unfocus - You can save the unfocused image of the button (when another button is highlighed)
• Empty Button - Removes the picture file and deletes the button
• Linked plugin - With this dropdown list you can select the associated plugin page. The list is automatically downloaded when starting the editor.
• Option - A popup appears:
  • Plugin Id - Identifies the plugin id/page. This field is filled automatically when choosing the plugin from the dropdown list. The field can be manually edited.
  • Plugin Name - The name of the plugin/page displayed in basic home. This field is filled automatically when choosing the plugin from the dropdown list. The field can be manually edited.
  • Plugin Parameter - Optional plugin parameter
  • Hover Image - The image shown in the background when the button is selected.
  • Fanart Enabled? - This checkbox is displayed automatically when the selected plugin supports recently fanarts. You can activate or deactivate Latest Media Handler plugin support with this checkbox.
  • Fanart Levels - You can choose how many recently added fanarts to display in succession.
  • Delay 1st fanart - Delay in milliseconds to display the first fanart.
  • Delay 2nd fanart - Delay in milliseconds to display the second fanart from the first one.
  • Delay 3rd fanart - Delay in milliseconds to display the third fanart from the second one.

When you are finished you have to press the Create Full Basic Home button in the bottom right corner. This button saves every button image (focused/unfocused) and the BasicHome_Buttons.xml file in the skin folder and saves pictures, button layout and button parameters in a settings file inside the basic home editor folder . It also automatically clears the Mediaportal cache folder.
