Can I import DVD or Blu-ray discs in MyFilms?

Background

With MyFilms, you normally create your movie catalog using the supported catalog of your choice.Many catalogs provide excellent features for importing DVD and Blu-ray discs.

However, if you use an Ant Movie catalog (AMC) type, which is the default catalog type when you create a new catalog, MyFilms uses AMC Updater, a standalone utility which adds features missing from AMC, such as batch importing and updating, extended fields, etc. It is not designed to replace AMC features such as importing discs. 

Answer

Although it is possible, it is generally recommended to use AMC to import discs. Although AMC Updater adds support for batch imports of files on your HDD for AMC catalog types, there is no way to batch import discs since you need to insert them one by one to  your disc drive.
