The patch system allows you the update the skin while MediaPortal is running.
The Avalon skin uses the great patch system written by the StreamedMP team. This allows you to update the skin while mediaportal is running.
If an update is available a small notifacation icon will be visible on top of the BasicHome:

In reaching this goal we are working every day to make sure our software is one of the best.
The team works very hard to make sure the community is running the best HTPC-software. We give away MediaPortal for free but hosting and software is not for us.
