aMPed's Basic Home Editor offers a unqiue graphic display to customize your Basic Home screen.

Choose your Basic Home Layout

First, decide if you prefer revaMPed's menu style, or Vintage button style layout. There are advantages to each:

revaMPed

The main advantages of revaMPed are:

1. A 'menu' style layout with sub menus accessible via the left/right arrow keys
2. You can have as many sub menus as you wish if you install a lot of plugins
3. You see more of the fanart backdrops and can select different backdrops for each sub menu

The only disadvantage of revaMped is that if you use many sub menus/levels some users get confused when they try to press back or home keys to return to a previous menu level.

Vintage

If you prefer a button style Basic Home layout, where you can even design the layout yourself, then Vintage is for you:

1. You can have up to seven Basic Sub Menus:  Watch, Music, News, System, Games, Extra, Extra1 although only five can be linked directly to ht main Basic Home screen
2. Sub Menus work like normal windows, you can press the back key to return to the previous level
3. You can arrange buttons on Basic Sub Menus however you wish, even desigining your own button layouts

The only disadvantage of Vintage is that if you have a lot of plugins you may not fit them all on the sub menus, and you can only display backdrops/fanart on the main Basic Home screen, since most of the sub menus are filled with buttons and you would not be able to see the backdrops.
