Overview

This pages explain the configuration and usage of the app launcher plugin for MediaPortal 2.

User Interface

Home Content

Shows The latest lauched apps and you favourite apps (according to usage frequency).

Main View

Shows the list of all apps configured. In the context menu (navigate left) you can toggle the view between list and grid.

Settings

Here you can configure the app launcher plugin.

Add Application

Here you can add new applications.

There are 3 ways to added an App:

Manual Path

Go to "Application Path" and enter the path to the executable file (*.exe, *.bat, ...) manually.

Filebrowser

Use the "Search" button and navigate to the executable file (*.exe, *.bat, ...)

Select App

Use the "Select" button to select a n app from your installed apps.

Additional Options

  • Icon: If you have select a .exe File, the icon will automatically displayed, otherwise you can navigate to an icon with the search button behind icon path. It is recommended to add pathes to application images with transparent background in the *.png format.
  • Description: Enter a description for your app
  • User name and password: Untested
  • Arguments: Enter here additional arguements related to your app
  • Groups: You can create new groups (text box in front of group button) or select existing groups with the "Group" button


Edit Application

Here you can edit any existing launcher entry with all parameters known from "add".

Delete Application

Here you can delete any existing launcher entry.

Remove Group

Here you can remove any groups created within the add or edit screen of a launcher entry.

Application Menus

Here you can add up to 5 menu entries, that will be directly visible in the main menu of the home screen.
