Overview

Here you can configure all connection related settings.

Settings

Home Server

It is possible to operate more than one MP2 Server in your network. However, every client can be attached to only one MP2 Server in the network.

This option allows to detach the client from the server that it is currently connected to and attach it to another one if desired.

Server listener

Activate this option if you would like the presence of new MP2 Server instances to be signaled to detached MP2 Clients.

Client name

Sets the name of the MP2 Client.

Default: MediaPortal-2-Client

HTTP server port

Allows to define the server port to be used for the network communication. 

Default: 0     

Don't change this value unless you know what you are doing!

A client restart is necessary for the changes to take effect

Use IPv4

Activate this option if you would like your client to communicate via IPv4 with the MP2 Server

Default: On

A client restart is necessary for the changes to take effect

Use IPv6

Activate this option if you would like your client to communicate via IPv6 with the MP2 Server

Default: Off

A client restart is necessary for the changes to take effect

IP address bindings

Set a list of IP addresses which should be used by this MediaPortal 2 client for connections to the home server

A client restart is necessary for the changes to take effect

Enable Wake On Lan

Activate this option if you would like your client to automatically wake the server that it is attached to.

Default: On

Wifi Connection

Connect to a wireless network
