Overview

MediaPortal 2 needs to the possibility to display system status infos. These infos should be provided through a system info plugin.

Details

General requirements

• The feature is separated in multiple plugins / components
  • SystemInfoCollector: runs within all clients and servers and provides the infos via UPnP to those who would like to consume them.
  • SystemInfo GUI plugin: runs within the MP2-Clients and prepares and shows the info
  • (optional) components within ServiceMonitor or MPExtended show these infos in other applications or devices

Power management

• Current idle time
• Remaining time to switch of monitor (if configured)
• Remaining time to suspend machine (if configured)
• Suspend mode after timeout (shutdown, suspend, hibernate)
• Last system start (boot) time
• TimsSpan since last system start

others

• hard disc storage usage
• memory usage
• processor usage
• infos about logged in system user

• facts and figures about all clients/servers
  • connection state
  • media library; number of items, ...
