Could you please support Windows XP and/or Windows Vista?
No, we don't and we won't support any operating system previous Windows 7. There are several reasons, one for example is to keep the code simple and prevent coding workarounds and increasing complexity to get features working on Windows XP.
It has been discussed several times (and here) and any future requests regarding this topic will be ignored.
The vision of the MediaPortal project is to create a free open source media centre application, which supports all advanced media centre functions, and is accessible to all Windows users.
In reaching this goal we are working every day to make sure our software is one of the best.
The team works very hard to make sure the community is running the best HTPC-software. We give away MediaPortal for free but hosting and software is not for us.
