Question

How can I mark and display my Favorite films?

Answer

To 'mark' a film as a favorite (as of v 6.0.0 or later):

  1. Add a user rating via the Details window context menu (F9 or Info/More remote button), or via Trakt rating popup if you use Trakt.
  2. Any film you rate > 7 is automatically added to your list of Favorite films.

My Films keeps track of user ratings for each user defined for a AMC4 database (Main menu > Options > Global Settings > Choose user profile > Add User)

To display your favorite films:

  1. Select the Views Menu, or View by' option on the main menu
  2. In the *Show All* list of fields, select Favorite

If you have more than one user defined for the database, the Favorites view will display all the users who have rated films > 7 and you can select the user you wish to view their Favorites.

Note: You can save the Favorites view (or even a user's Favorites) as a 'custom' view, which will display on the Views Menu/list, see Using My Films Views for details.
