Overview

With Intel i-series systems, utilizing HDMI audio, music playback stops after a set period of time. It can either be followed by a Mediaportal program error box, or not.

Symptoms

Music playback can cease mid-song. The following systems have been problematic. Other system configurations may be affected. If so, please add to this list:

 

Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit operating systems, under a singleseat environment.

Resolution

  1. Check that display/monitor is set to not turn off in X-time under OS power options. If so, set to never and retest music playback.
