The MediaPortal 2 installer is being reworked completely, which might also change the way the installer localization is being done.

 

All texts of the installer can be localized. There are general texts which are provided by wix. For the current status of the wix localization please check http://wix.tramontana.co.hu/tutorial/localization.

There are several language files in the language directory of the setup: Setup\MP2-Setup\Language

  • The xx-yy.wxs files (i.e. de-de.wxs) contain MediaPortal specific texts.
  • The WixExt_xx-yy.wxl (i.e. WixExt_de-de.wxl) contain the texts for WiX extensions, which aren't in official WiX package, yet. This can differ from language to language and also from one extension to another.
