About mPod

mpod Now after almost two years of mPod@MediaPortal, it's about time to let you know a bit about myself.

Most people here know me as mPod, but in real life people just call me Marc. Born back in '74, I moved to Berlin more than 7 years ago.

Now I'm co-running a media post production company and have specialized on DVD authoring. Before I became a DVD authorer, I worked as a PC/Windows technician at a western german system vendor.

I learned C# just for MediaPortal, although I started my first coding steps by the age of 12.
My role in the MP project is general development on the one hand and co-administrating parts of the MediaPortal team and the project on the other hand.

Good thing about my job is that my work place is also my living place (or vice versa), so whenever I'm not busy with work, I can spend my time on this great MediaPortal project with a great team.

About The Project

The vision of the MediaPortal project is to create a free open source media centre application, which supports all advanced media centre functions, and is accessible to all Windows users.

In reaching this goal we are working every day to make sure our software is one of the best.

Support MediaPortal!

The team works very hard to make sure the community is running the best HTPC-software. We give away MediaPortal for free but hosting and software is not for us.

Care to support our work with a few bucks? We'd really appreciate it!
