X10 remotes are a family more than one remote.

MediaPortal supports several different types of X10 remotes. One type is very popular in Germany as it's distributed by Medion with the famous "ALDI-PC". Also ATI uses the X10 hardware for their AIW remotes. The Mapping may differ slightly from type to type.

Note: ATI users should disable all ATI software before using your ATI X10 remote with MediaPortal. This is because the ATI software will catch some events like volume handling which can't be done by MediaPortal or will be executed two times.

Driver Required

You must have a driver installed to use a X10 remote. You can try with your currently installed driver, but if the remote doesn't work as expected in any way please try installing the driver mentioned below first. This driver should definitely work!

About RF channel control

As the X10 remotes use RF technology their operating range is a lot higher than with infrared (IR) remotes. So if you want to use more than one remote in a certain area it is useful to control MediaPortal only by remotes sending their data on a certain channel. This way you can be sure that MediaPortal is only controlled by the right remote.

Configuration

Select to enable X10 remote. Then select the model you wish to use. Select the one closest to your model (or use the IRSS plugin which supports more profiles).

More information about the *closure*
Over the last several years, X10′s management has worked diligently to operate under very difficult circumstances. Nearly two years ago, its major supplier and shareholder, X10, Ltd., filed for protection under Hong Kong Law. Not only has this stymied the Company’s ability to maintain and grow its business, but also caused disruptions while potential investors looked to purchase the Company’s stock, the single most valuable asset of X10, Ltd.

Get support in the forums e.g. http://forum.team-mediaportal.com/forums/remotes.116/ or search forums for OR22V. There are several posts how to set it up - hopefully one fits your case.

Post in that forum and request it - it's pretty old so probably was auto archived but @high might be able to retrieve it, or someone who downloaded it previously could repost it?
