I did not make any of these logos, all credit goes out to the (too many to list) people on this forum, the MythTV forums, XBMC, and various other sites, like titantv, and the station's own web site. However, Dallas-Ft Worth is a fairly large community, and we use most of the available channels in the OTA spectrum with something. Some of these were difficult to find. The lesser known (independent, local funded, transient) channels or non English channels are generally not channels I watch or include in my EPG (cant get EPG info for them in many cases) so the channel logos are also missing. They also change hands frequently - you may notice some of the channels actually put the words "this channel for lease 214-233-3333" in the channel name!
They are provided here for your convenience, and many will work in other major markets across the USA. They include a large number of premier/pay channel logos as well, in case you need them. (Airbox is operating in DFW, so we do see Starz and other Premier channels in an OTA scan now!)
For local channels, I did rename the logo with the channel number and official name, as I found in the XMLTV epg file I receive. This should make it easy for you to figure out which is which. You can use any name for the logo you wish, as long as it matches what you named the channel in server setup.
I will probably update this package yearly for as long as I use mediaportal - after all I have to keep things updated for my EPG to look good, so I might as well upload updates. Similarly, if you want me to include logos or have updates I'll be happy to roll them into a new version. The idea is to make it easy (especially for us Texans ;) ) to get all our logos quickly.
It should be common sense, but these are Private-personal use only. Copyrights and images are owned by the prospective channel, as expected.
Installation / Configuration
Copy the logos into your APPDATA \ Team Mediaportal\mediaportal\thumbs\tv\logos folder. As for the image name, as long as the image name (ignore extension) matches what your channel is named in the TV server setup, it should find them. This is documented in the wiki as well. I used the first name for a channel found in the XMLTV import I get, just to be safe - and I prefer to see the channel number first in my EPG.
