Frames is a simple (No plugin dependency and no configuration/menu editor), list view orientated, clear and intuitive skin designed based on Blue3Wide code and ideas of other skins like Maya and other sources.

Note: Please see Archived File 1 for a MediaPortal 1.2.x compatible version and Archived File 2 for a MediaPortal 1.3.x compatible version. (These versions are not maintained anymore.)

Frames is a grey coloured skin with accents in blue at a resolution of 1280x720 (Displays also nice at 1920x1080).

All screens are designed in such a way that all information will be diplayed within frames with a limited use of fanart in a uniform and functional way.

Optional you can choose between a 8 or 10 rows TVGuide/MiniGuide and there is also a possibility to show infotags (MiniWiki) with extra information about menu items and buttons to use.

Excellent skin for minimalists

if, as I do, you find that many of the newer skins verge on "sensory overload", I can heartily recommend Frames as a functional, pleasing and simple skin and a worthy successor to the old DefaultWide. It has nice smooth and intuitive icons, the Classic view is quite similar to the old DefaultWide, and many of the screens have improved the layout in comparison to DefaultWide. The Weather screen is a paragon of simplicity and effective use of screen real estate. My only criticism is that the Album view in Music (like most skins) has a ridiculously small number of albums visible in the list at one time.

Frames on low end hardware

Run ATOM/ION based Shuttle as main unit, with MovingPictures & TV Series installed & with Frames, it all work, clean & simple - can highly recommend.

Fantastic

Elegant, great looking skin. Use of fanart is great. Does work with MP-TV plugin and Movingpictures very well.
