MediaPortal 1.1.0 Final RELEASED!
The development of MediaPortal was a long and bumpy road, but the destination was well worth it. Thanks to our great community, who submitted many bug reports and code patches to fix bugs, we now are able to present you MediaPortal 1.1.0 - the best release in our six year history.

Installation notes
Extensions:
Before you install 1.1.0 - make sure you have 1.1.0 compatible versions of the extensions (plugins & skins) you use.
- Incompatible plugins will not work and could stall MediaPortal completely
- Incompatible Skins will throw a warning when you start MediaPortal
MediaPortal 1.1.0 RCx installation present:
- The installer will allow you to simply "upgrade" to 1.1.0 final.
MediaPortal 1.0.x or 1.1.0 ALPHA/BETA installation present:
- these installations can not be upgraded to 1.1.0 final
- these installations will be uninstalled
(No data will be lost, you will find MediaPortal_backup and TV-Server_backup folders which contain the plugins, skins and user files of the 1.0.x installations) - refer to the Upgrade Guide if you are moving from an existing MediaPortal installation, older than 1.1.0 RC1.
- a present TV-Server database will be upgraded and can be reused
After the Installation/Upgrade:
- Upgrades and first time install:
Please reboot your PC after the installation/update has finished. This might not be required, yet we recommend it. - Upgrades:
Please visit "MediaPortal Configuration > General Section" and change the "log verbosity" from "Debug" to "Info". This is not required, yet we recommend it.

If you think that you found a bug, then please post a detailed report in our Quality Assurance Forum. Now MediaPortal 1.1.0 is a final release, bug reports should be submitted there, not in the Development Forum.
