Channel-Names in TV-Server
We know that many of you are using highly customized channel lists.
If you changed the channelnames then you had to deal with quite some problems in the past.
- if you got your EPG from one specific EPG-Data Channel, then the relation between the EPG and the Channel got lost after the name was changed
- if you re-scanned for channels, all your customized names got lost and/or channels were added a 2nd time
This does no longer happen. :)
We have seperated the "real channel name" from the "displayed channel name".
This means that if you change the name of you channel now, you only change the "Displayed Name", internaly the TV-Server is still working with the "real name" of the channel.
So data from a dedicated EPG channel will be used for the right channels even if display name was changed
If you re-scan for channels, the display names will not get replaced and no channels will be added a 2nd time.
